He has over a decade of coaching experience in football and wrestling.

This will be Coach Finch's first year on the Lugo freshman staff. Coach Finch has 28 years of coaching experience and comes to us from La Mirada. When Coach Finch is not on the football field, you can find him in the Lugo counseling office.
Coach Murray is coming to Don Lugo from an extremely successful season with Chino Pop Warner. His team traveled to Florida where they finished 5th in the nation! Coach Murray will be a huge asset to the program!
Ron Poteet
Assistant Coach
Coach Poteet has 15 years of coaching experience at different sports and different levels. He is currently coaching 3 sports including freshman football, Head Coach for freshman boys basketball, and Head Coach for JV softball. Coach Poteet is a teacher at Don Lugo High School and is heavily involved in Lugo activities. He will be the class of 2019 class advisor.
Coach Poteet has been married to his sweetheart Linda for 20 years. They have 2 children together. Vincent Poteet, who is a senior at Don Lugo and will enter the Navy soon and Briana Poteet who will be a freshman at Don Lugo. Briana is involved with the JV cheer squad and Leadership. Briana also plans on playing softball.
